Late evening half awake half asleep and a bit all over the place again. Singing along lyrics of tracks not played in ages but the chords seem missing and the scales are all wrong. Maybe it's all about feeling and perceiving in music, after all. Maybe tunes and their mood change with the years the decades the phases of trying to find sleep to them. Have a pleasant night everyone wherever you are.

10pm and slowing down. Returned to ones own neighborhood. Driving with the evening breeze just to feel how much old stones have soaked up the warmth of the day, gradually releasing it into the more quiet, more dark hours. Dim lights, breathing on an open window, letting things settle inside, outside and everywhere. The challenge of accepting rest. Have a calm night wherever you are.

Wochentag ohne Routine Wochentagsbezug verloren. Nur hier, jetzt.)

Tuesday, concluded. Once more with that slightly vague feeling of  having missed out on something important. Stories of imposters and overthinkers. Once again unsure how exactly the morning started, just remembering the day to be long and  tremendously warm. Still waiting for the rain, and whether there will be a gap between prediction and reality again. Machines shut down. Thoughts still spinning. Have a soothing night wherever you are.

Quite some hours into the evening and some of todays urgencies aren't still completely sorted out. A short late peek into a flooded log file, immediately recognizing a familiar pattern and immediately remembering the lack of a good resolution for that issue. Some things come and go some things stay and safe to say this is all but pleasant. Adding a short thought to the right place. Discussing severities and workarounds and not daring to even consider how the map might look like, lots of random individual footprints off the path supposed to be taken. Stories of flaws and shortcuts and so far unsure which kind of ending to shape for that storybook. Have a calm night wherever you are.

Reconnected. A cities' outer reaches and the suburban weekend procedures. Huge cars parked on a former village square. Chains of lights between tall trees. Random pedestrians then and now. And then out in rural areas again. thin layers of fog suddenly covering the green as far as the eye can see. Hazy mood tired mind. Have a soft evening wherever you are.

Regular day after hours early evening and this is where the day dares to slow down. A bit. Not in all cases being fast is a bad thing. Not in all cases, trying to match the technology, organization, communication facets of complex problems while tackling a couple of these at the same time is a tough challenge. But sometimes, too, it helps flipping through old books, noticing ones own old notes on the sidelines and tracking down some of the thoughts left hidden at the end - or start - of these. Stories of old train tickets, slightly faded polaroids, scent of cigarettes smoke left captured in paper, learning machines, thinking technology, and the inability to really, fully grasp the meaning behind some words. (Yawning. Stretching. Concluding. Have a soft night wherever you are.)

Summer evening, slow and sticky. Heated up by the hours of day, the fast pace, the bright sun and the paths taken from waking to here. A grey cat relaxing on a grey pillow. Different noise different silence of these weeks, out there, in there, and sometimes it's all about not moving not even breathing to not make any random sound break this mood. A distant train. Few cars still crossing the bridge. A guitar being played somewhere, both in an enthusiastic and mostly untrained manner. The open windows across the street have no conversation, only cigarette tips glowing in what will become todays hopefully gentle night. Sleep safe everyone wherever you are.

Once more, a lot later and shaky feet on shaky ground. Day's closing its pages, some stories again left partially unwritten, some proceedings lacking the required dedication today. A backlog growing with the weeks, a list of achievements hardly doing so, new heat in old rooms the sound of city evenings in between the river and the park and the streets and everywhere and nowhere  and finding calm in watching some of the lights flicker on some of the balconies across the backyard. Soothing images, just sometimes. Have a calm night wherever you are.

Finally, letting this week come to a pause too. Standing at the back door again, watching the late daylight above the meadows and the hills. Miles from cities, and torn between embracing, savouring a certain slowness in everything - and wondering how much of this perceived slowness is real in an ever-moving ever-reshaping world. And then giving up on this thought for now because it seems both too ambitious to tackle at this hour and of too little importance after all to dig through this. Maybe, too, because there are too many other aspects of more relevance one fails to handle properly. Emptying the glass. Avoiding ones reflections. And stepping back in. Have a soft night wherever you are.

The evening and us the voices. The bottom lines of documentation that has been started yet unfinished. Feature sets vaguely defined, network communications following that definition, performance aspects not considered at all. (Powering down external machines. Guiding attention elsewhere. Slowly moving across a mental map while feet aren't. Neighbours, disputes, entertainment voices and again just a little bit too far into territory to better stay clear of. Too many poor analogies again, as well. Have a calm night once it's here, wherever you are.)

Hours later again. A bit of caffeine withdrawal. A bit of lack of sleep. Both amplifying each other. Not sure which to handle first. Eyes closed, giving in to the luxury of drifting through music for a moment without much else going on and just merely feeling the city evening unfold in its various faces and schemes. Inner imposter wrestling the urge to get some meaningful work done, that vague feeling of guilt for moments spent off some ambitious roadmap, of being lazy at always just the wrong time. Few things are really easy. Sleep well once it's about time, wherever you are.

Again, quite a lot later or at least it feels like that. Heavy headed. Mind like a sieve, unsure which part of the relevant information has been kept around and which parts have just slipped through. Half asleep again, not that this day has really been awake at all. Watching the clouds and the sky and the outline of houses and trees and trying not to be too aware of all of that to keep the monkeys from dancing. Have a soft evening wherever you are.

An indeterminate amount of time later. Monday concluding, could have been two days again easily. Random insights: Shifting team, focus, machinery and other resources around doesn't fix an overall lack of these, just hides it. And it's much easier to stumble across things hidden from sight. Phone ringing below, a short, intense conversation to follow. All sorts of evening life unfolding across the street, a collection of myriads of short films aired in parallel and the mere sight leaves one both dizzy and slightly relaxed. Not minding hour, weather, traffic for now. Poems of sanctuary and retreat. Have a soft night wherever you are.

10pm and on, an evening and its sleepy calm disturbed by physical and mental unrest. Little structure in the darkening sky. Sounds of music and voices from somewhere near the river. Some candles and some cigarettes on the window above the crossroads. Engines shut down, footsteps, a doorbell and a staircases warm light. Too many stories to be told today, unsure to whom, unsure for what. Have a peaceful night wherever you are.

Way past 10pm. Mind not looking back at the days bygone, building castles out of imaginary sand instead. Indefinite weathers. Maybe there's to be rain, but maybe not. Haven't paid attention to constellations in a while. Things that go unnoticed with the hurries of daily affairs, then and now. Another brief glance at the buildings, the few lit windows, the few balconies dedicated to welcoming weekend with candles and wine. Here to observe, until sleep gently takes over. Have a soft night wherever you are.

Very much later and listening to the postlude of the day, a lof of more or less dissonant inner chords and melody lines to slowly dissolve in the soothing quietness of another summer evening. In an odd way relaxed, even knowing most of the tension's far from gone. Attention focusing somewhere just above ones own head, trying to get perspective and perception changed and sorted. Touching walls windowsill windowpane, feet on ground, mind here and there and all over the place.  There are days dedicated to frenetic laughter, without any particular reasons, and there are days on the other end of that spectrum and sometimes predictions are hard to make. (Certain notifications muted, certain earlier topic ignored for now. At least an attempt to. Stories of priorities and rest. Sleep tight everyone wherever you are.)

This end of the day again. Facts, figures, graphs and logs. There's a pattern in there but it's quite good at hiding. Dusk light, music from below, a movie on a huge screen across the street, a dog a green light a pale smartphone display heading for the river. Resting behind closed lids for a moment, reaching out to feel everything that remains unsaid, unvoiced, undisplayed. Evening routines. Some of these are hard to escape. A sense of summer, a promise of night. Sleep tight everyone wherever you are.

(Closing in on 10pm, again and resorting to old routines. Browsing music from some yesterday not very well defined. Not singing along but visualizing the moments that are stuck with the chords. Hearing sounds going places and feeling the resonance head to toes. Breathing with the city under a dim sky, half asleep already. Have a soft night wherever you are.)
